HPV School Vaccination Programme in Ireland
A Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination program was first introduced in 2010 in Ireland with the prior formal recommendation of the World Health Organization.
The HPV4 vaccine is administered to girls of age 12 to 13 years who are at the second level of school to protect them from cervical cancer in adulthood. The program was successful as it completed 80% of the course target which got increased in 2015.
